Right, I have always wondered, what does the PS3 pad use for triggers, I don't understand how you can use the pad for throttle control like on the 360 pad with the triggers.

Curious is all.

Erm... it uses the triggers.

L2 and R2 to be precise. They're analogue like all the other buttons with the exception of the Dpad, Start and Select.

Ohhhhhhhhhh, my bad lol, was thinking of the ps2 pad! I think

Sorry guys, looking at pics, yea see it now.

Sweet, in that case, buying one in hope of GT5 :)

I recommend buying some trigger extenders - they only cost a couple of quid and make a real difference imo.

Second that, the trigger buttons on the PS3 are terrible.. the trigger extenders make a lot of difference, still not great but a good improvement.

Third that?...

Agree have had a set of triggers on the DS3 since I bought the PS3 and couldn't imagine the controller without them now. Also makes certains games; driving, FPSs etc much better.

I've never tried the trigger extenders myself, they sell them in HMV for a couple of quid, don't think that's a direct competitor to OcUK as their primary business is selling music.

I have to say that I find the standard "triggers" on the Dualshock 3 to be a bit spongy in a lot of games, but then most PS3 shooters that I've played use R1 and L1 to aim and shoot as opposed to R2 and L2.

The 'real triggers' extensions are awesome, on mine i glued the triggers on, cut a groove through the bottom and a tooth into the controller housing and used a couple of springs out of cheapy pens to give the triggers more 'push' and better feedback.
