I dont understand all this stuff so I have to ask.

There are multiple options for the casing for this bundle, is there a 'best'/better one? I notice the BitFenix is a higher price but is this because it is better or only because it has that lame LED thing?

Is it better than the default case

My question is more related to the difference between the cases other than look though.
does one have more usb ports etc?

Is there a reason why BitFenix is £15 more?

The case selection is based on similar size and cooling capability, I don't consider front panel connections when setting up the options.

The case option is there to provide you with a selection of different looks since the case is the one part of the system that you have to look at every day.

Finally does the*Tanto*come with a wired port (the thing where you can plug directly into he internet. Ethernet?) how many usb ports does it have and how is its wireless capabilities?

do the casings affect any of this?

This is the motherboard you get with the Tanto:

It has four USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports. There is also an ethernet port. It does not have wireless, though, so you'd need a USB network adapter or a wireless card.

The USB adapter would just go in one of your USB ports; the wireless card would go in one of the small PCI slots on the motherboard.

I personally prefer Powerline adapters over wireless cards. I have had nothing but trouble in the past with signal loss on those cards, even with the supposedly long range ones.
