Is it just me or does the wmv codec seem to blur a lot at low bitrates? When I convert a video using an mpeg codec it remains sharp but wmv always seems to blur the video in places like some sort of attempt at deblocking it. I've noticed this on loads of game trailer websites as well, wmv9 textures look blurred but the mpeg4 versions look sharper with some macroblocking.
