Hey guys. First of all, my copy arrives tommorow and i am actually excited to play this game as i have just quit WoW. I just wanna ask something because i am confused...

Now, i know that when you start as a e.g. greenskin, you fight the dwarfs right? Well does that mean if you are a greenskin you are restricted to only fighting these in RVR? Could you go to another area and start from tier 1 there? I find all this pretty confusing, would appreciate anybody explaining it too me!

Ps. To all those that have the game, how good is it? :P

Cheers guys

Yes, you can go to any other area, all you need to do is run down the road until you reach the first Warcamp, and there is a flight master there so you can fly to other races starting areas.

I cant answer that, because its a personal thing, I love it, some will hate it.

Depends on the AH, the chaos one is some dudes in a corner of the city. And yeah the siege goes through stages of non instanced and instanced areas.

To save making another thread...Is city siege instanced?

Some parts of the city siege are instanced (like the actual king fight towards the end). Keep fights etc are not instanced.

Oh and could anybody please tell me what the auction house is like? Does it feel nice to be inside like WoW?

Sad question i know lol

Not really too sure what you mean, if you mean is it a nice looking building...that would depend which faction you are, there isnt much in destruction that could be defined as "nice" looking :D

If you mean does it have crowds of players etc, like the AHs in WoW. Then to be honest, no, not yet at least. The game is still so new (not officially launched til tomorrow of course), that the market economy hasnt really got up and running yet.

To take this thread off on another tangent, I play WoW (yes I know) and I prefer the quests, exploring etc rather than just PvP. Is warhammer going to give me these options for gameplay or does it have more of a PvP bent? Obviously the whole idea of fighting etc but I like a little more interaction with the world and all that's in it :)

If so, I presume I am probably going to want to look to the Order side rather than Destruction?

EDIT: what server are people choosing?

I'd say that its more exploration based than WoW as you get unlocks in your tome and XP for discovering certain things. If I remember correctly there are 10 different unlocks per zone, so its quite a few to run around and see.

I think both sides interact just as much as each other really. Destruction is massivly over populated though, so order people are getting onto servers quicker and also getting into RvR scenario parties easier.

To be frank, yes it has much more of a PvP bent. You will find that WoW has a lot more PvE quests and PvE content than WAR. Indeed the endgame of WAR is almost entirely PvP based. The exploration side of WAR is quite nice, with the rewards for finding places and people/things, but essentially WAR is about PvP and fighting other players.

Everyone is different of course, but generally speaking, I would say those who come to WAR with an emphasis more on PvE than PvP will ultimately be disappointed.

Those of us who like PvP though, love it :D

I have a question about tier 4. Are the DElves/Elves and Orc/Dwarf Tier 4's going to be empty when people hit max level as everyone will be trying to attack the enemy city won't they?

You can't just head off and attack the enemy capital, that's the thing, you have to control all the zones leading up to it first to 'unlock' it. So the battle will be pushing back and forth across a number of zones as one side or the other gains the upper hand, and only a really determined push will open up access to the capital.

You can't just zerg the whole thing either, because a group could sneak around behind the zerg and retake one of the zones needed for access to the capital.

Yeh I was wondering how much the other zones affect the current the balance of the Empire/Chaos T4. I presumed that the best way to attack the capital would be to gain control of the neutral Emp/Chaos T4 then push towards their capital (easier said than done I know)

Well, dont forget that to attack the city, you have to lock down 2 of the 3 racial pairings, so people cant just stay in the empire/chaos areas otherwise there will never be a city siege :)

Gotta love it, it's Planetside all over again :D

Plus the Public Quest in The Inevitable City is awesome, nice rewards and quite fine to do if you're there anyway. Loved the Bright Wizard College in Beta too, very nice city areas, i hope they'll launch the cut cities.
