It's been ages since I really looked at this stuff, so I consider myself very much out of the loop... I currently have the below spec. Is it worthwhile considering upgrading... or anything coming around the corner worth waiting for? I do a bit of everything, graphics, gaming etc.

- Intel i5 2500k (Sandy Bridge) LGA1155 3.3GHz
- Asus GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II 4096MB GDDR5
- EVGA Intel Z68 SLI (Socket 1155) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard
- Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 RAM
- Del U2311H monitor

:)

You dont really need to upgrade as processor is really good despite its age. Graphic cards is good too although you can upgrade it but there is no need as it plays games at 1080p at decent fps. Maxwell gpu gtx 880 is rumoured to be announced in September so you may wait if you want to upgrade gpu. The only thing that I would recommend is to buy a good ssd just for comfort if you buy it you would never go back to hdd, like me :D

Thanks, I was thinking that myself based on what little I've been researching lately. Doesn't seem I'm lagging as far behind as I thought :). Yeah I have a 120GB SSD in there, which is great.

I was half thinking about getting a bigger monitor, but I don't know if my GPU would handle much higher res.

I would stay away from monitor with higher resolution as you would need more gpu hourse power or you would need to play games on medium on 1440p. As I said above you can upgrade if you want but it's kind of worthless at this time.
