What do I need to do to make my USB ports operate as USB2.0.

There are three computers in my house each which claims to have USB2.0.

The drivers that come with the MoBo say that USB support requires XP SP1 or higher.

Each machine is running at XP SP2

If I run the USB2.0 driver option from the MoBo disk it just says that it isn't necessary as the support is in Windows XP.

But when I insert a USB compliant device I get a windows message saying that the device is capable of running much faster if I use USB2.0.

This is on all 3 machines - so is there something furst I must do to make the USB ports operate in USB2.0???

Cheers,

Nigel

uninstall all usb drivers on 3 machines from "control panel, system, device manager"

then reboot machine...

when you restart windows should automatically find these usb 2.0 ports..

you dont have to install the usb 2.0 drivers from mobo disk when you do you get this error msg...
