question about xbox 360 profiles..

ok so ive been playing some games offline like forza 3, bioshock 2 and gears of war 2 and have unlocked achievments as everyone does. this is with a offline profile, i dont have live yet but if i remember when i had a 360 years ago, i need to create a live profile and will lose achievements?

is it possible to create a live profile and keep my achievmenets from the offline profile

My sister started out with an off line profile on her xbox, when she went to sign up to xbox live it said her gamer tag was in use, she then changed her gamer tag & all achievements stayed with her profile.

I'm pretty sure it will let you keep your achievements.

It only gets messy when you have two profiles with achievements - one on Live, one on the console. Posts #2 and #3 answer your question.

ok cheers, when i did it a few years ago i must have missed something as i ended up making a new profile and lost everything. should be getting live back soon though
