question according laptop ?

Hi , since i never had laptps and only used to use PC , i build it myself i have done loads of reformating even overclocking etc on( pc), but i never dealed with laptop , so there we go i got a laptop now but its full of rubbish and it is way to slow to check everything out manually ,so i thought how does it Work i got only Recovery CD thats all, no windows no driver CD , but i guess all of that is intigrated is in it ? So how does it work ,i just insert recovery disk and it will do everything instead of me ? Please Any advice would be appreciated and finally maybe i would know a bit about laptops ! BTW it is Toshiba ,with Windows XP Home Edition on it ! I really need a reformat !

Well I can only tell you how it normally is. If someone has reformatted your laptops and removed the partitions on there then you may not be able to recover it.

Then again it may be that the recovery CD is all you need.

You really need to look at the product documentation if possible or download it off Toshibas website. On some laptops you press a key and it boots of a second partition and re-images Windows. On some you put in the recovery CD and it does it off CD though some CD's also use a hidden partition.
