Got a Biostar P45 with 4870 do i need to connect the molex to the 'graphics auxiliary power' on the motherboard?

I though the molex mb connector was only for when you are using both pci-e slots? I guess it wont hurt though i have never used it.

^^this. Someone else was asking if it was necessary as well....I'm not really sure. Plug it in anyway.

is there to supply some extra power to the pci/e slots under stress.

better to have it and not use it, than not having it and need it.!

Just checked my MB manual and it says that it has to be plugged in if only both slots are occupied by graphics cards. my gtx280 has a green light so think i'll just keep mine unplugged
