Question for antec 900 owners

Hiya all, i have been building my new pc this evening and wanted your opinion on something.

The case has 2 drive cages which each hold 3 hard drives.

Now i am using 3 drives in this machine but one of the cages can have an additional fan attached to the back to aid air flow.

What i would like to know is would i be better off putting the 3 drives in the one cage and using the other cage for the additional fan on the back ( you cant fit it with drives in the cage ), of would it be better for me to space the drives out more over the 6 slots ( 1 drive per 2 slots ) and leave the additional fan off??

the extra fan wont make that much difference, better to spread the drives out so the front fans cool them better.

My thoughts exactly. Really is no point in it. The fans still provide good enough airflow with the drive split up.

I stick them all in the one cage

you can always stick the extra fan on the side of the case, it's what i did

all my hdd;s are in one cage, not using the side or extra cage fan. stays cool as a cucumber

I think i may try and split them up then as i have a tuniq tower so the side far wont fit.

i just wanted something else to control off my fan controller, LOL

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but cut one of the corners off the fan. You can then put the fan on the side with a Tuniq Tower installed also
