Question For Anyone Who Has The Creative Gigaworks T20 Speaker - Making Buzzing Sound

I just wanted to know if anyone else has these speakers and have noticed when there is no sound coming out they make an annoying buzzing sound which isn't normally noticable with sound coming out. Is this a fault with my speakers or could it be a fault with my sound card or speakers?

I've just bought a pair and I can hear it too, a sort of fluctuating whistling noise.

Think I might exchange them to see if that sorts it, if not it's not the end of the world and I can only hear it when my ear is next to the speaker.

ive got some but mine only make a slight buzz noise when i turn them on it fades out within 2 secs

I got a new pair and the problem appears to be solved.

this can be caused when one of the magnetic components or the amp is too close to a power supply or transformer.

Try moving the power transformer away from other electrical appliances. I was minutes away from requesting an RMA on my brand new laptop as the built in audio was borked (hissing/pops etc) and then I realised the problem was with the power supply not the actual laptop.
