Quick job price question..

How much roughly should I be looking at to put in a new double socket? It's about 3m from the next nearest one and the walls are plasterboard.

Installation is only 6 years old.

Thanks

Just putting in the socket or sorting the plastering/painting out afterwards as well?

Why paint/plaster just run it behind the skirting boards ??? Pop the boards and away you go!

Is it in the same room?

I would want the patching up done around it after too - I would do the painting after.

It is in the same room as the socket 3m away and the next room has the consumer unit in. I wasn't sure if you could just take a spur from the current socket? Got to be better than running 2x extension leads tho?

I want to run 3x PCs / Monitors plus a lamp and some LED lighting.... not happy doing all that on one double socket

Skirting boards will not pop off because of how they have gone on - Discovered that with some others that had to come off recently and all had to be replaced.

With a double socket available, run 2 anti surge extensions which will give you more than enough sockets.

Not at all. If you were running cookers etc, it would be different. The extensions are fused aswell. Spend the money on a loved one!

Depends on what sort of PC's etc.

If you're running 3 1200w gaming beasts with tri monitors and pushing them all hard at the same time, you'd need to get a spark in to make adjustments.

But I doubt you're gonna do that, should be fine for extensions.

OK cool - One is a pretty high end machine, 1000w PSU, one is a mid range gaming machine and the other a low end. All just one monitor and two printers between the three.

I shall go with the extension leads in this case, cheers.
