It would be nice if you could put in yellow writing the reason why you close threads instead of leaving people like me baffled.
For instance the 'Hospital These Days' thread, I haven't got a clue why you closed that and Groen had actually made a good point with his last post.
There was nothing offensive in there and people giving great accounts of how they were treated.

The 'Big Man' thread!!
Once again the thread didn't need moderating because people were behaving themselves and then suddenly it's gone.
A nice reason why in yellow writing would have been nice.

Just a thought.

Oh and I already know this will be closed but I do know the reason why.
(Whining cry baby thread)

So why was the 'Hospital These Days' thread closed?
I was enjoying reading posters experiences and then all of a sudden it went.

There is more info for the Train thread so can it re-open?
For instance the Ticket Inspector has been put on 'holiday'.

Apologies to the Mods because I didn't mean this to turn into Mod bashing because I think you do a great job.

And I still don't know why the NHS thread got deleted.

It was also a good job you closed the Big man thread because my index finger was getting sore from pressing F5.
Probably the best thread we've ever had on here.

notsureifsrs

100% serious.
I've never pressed F5 so much.

This problem with a lot of posters is they haven't got the brain cells not to go into a thread they don't like but would prefer to say 'Lock this thread', 'Why isn't this thread closed?'.
I've just counted the threads on the first page of GD and there are 17 threads I have zero interest in so I don't waste my time clicking on them.
One poster even said the other day something like "But when I click on GD I still see the thread title"
I think he was serious.

The funniest thing About all this is that the OP was an underboss for a while...

:D
About 2 months 8 years ago.

It was embarassing at the time because I did absolutely nothing for 2 months and then got an email saying we have taken your status from you
I'd been waiting for instructions and didn't even know they had a special forum I could go in.
They said they sent an email notification telling me all about it but I swear on my wife & kids lives and my guitar collection that I received nothing because all my emails get checked.
Hey ho and all that - worst Underboss EVER.

Making a new thread with more info in.

So lets teach our new posters a lesson by closing a thread and not giving them the opportunity to put a link in.
He obviously made a mistake and can't alter it.
The lads probably a bit miffed at having his thread closed BUT HE'S BEEN TAUGHT A LESSON

The one that still hasn't been explained is the NHS one where posters were telling some great stories of their personal experiences and then it's gone!!!
That was the reason for this thread but I honestly didn't mean it to turn to Mod knocking by the kids.

Right, what's going on with swearing and partially disguised swearing then?

Mods are doing it now, so which is it? Can someone answer this?

"Do as I say and not as I do" isn't great when it comes to rules.

I think I may know what you're on about but at the same time he did at least give a reason for the closed thread.
