Question for the racing sim fans

I am the lucky recipient of a single seater racing day at Thruxton.
I thought it might be fun (although probably not terribly useful), to have a virtual drive around before I go.

So the question is can you recommend a game old or new that has a pretty fair representation of Thruxton? And if it's a good game that would be cool as well :)

PS I do have an aging but functional Logitech force feedback wheel and pedals.

Is there much of a learning curve? The only similar thing I've tried was Grand Prix Legends back in the day, which I remember being particularly carp at...
 
I always wanted to drive a Lotus Cortina!

That sounds ideal, don't mind the difficulty ramping up but I do like to be eased in;)
