I am in the process of transfering a cherished number from one of my cars to my new one.
The car that the cherished number is on at the moment has to be inspected by a VOSA officer tomorrow, before the transfer can take place. I'm assuming they want to check the VIN numbers relate to the documents etc.
The car that the plate is being transfered from is just over 15 years old. Been told that since Jan 2006, any vehicle over 15 years old must be inspected by VOSA before the transfer can be completed. No idea why.
So, has anyone else here who has a cherished number taken their car for one of these inspections?.
Just wondered what happens etc?.
Ta.
