Does anyone know hwo many non-stack standard uk pallets can fit inside a 20' General container & a 40' General container?

The help is much appreciated.

Thanks

There is no such thing as a UK standard pallet. However, going off ISO standards for European pallets (39x40x60) and the ISO standard for intermodal containers (40 feet), 42 (well, 42.5 exactly) non stacked pallets.

You know a worrying amount about pallets :p

I regulary order my company's products from the US and on a 20ft container it can hold 12 pallets and on a 40ft we'll manage between 22-24. The US size is a metre by a metre.

You really need to confirm the pallet size. Are they stackable? How tall? Once you have the dimensions you can work it out for yourself.

Pallets vary, the usual pallet size like say a Chep pallet is 100 by 120cms. Euro pallets are skinnier, any other pallet it going to be custom made. Containers can vary in height. But in a 40 footer you should be able to fit 26 pallets long ways, and as for height in a low container I think it was about 12 high but can't remember the height of a standard pallet.... it's been a while.

It's easier to just crowbar the planks off and then kick in half or whatever. Most pallets have been knocked around enough so that they've already got the gaps needed for a crowbar.

40 foot trailer fits 26 chep pallets. If it was euro pallets then it would be more.
