so what does everyone think so far? Which will be your rts of choice? I,ve just bought supcom and will be trying the c&c3 demo tonight. which one, and why? Discuss! :p

Not tried the C&C3 demo yet, but I am loving Supreme Commander.

That said, both will end up on my shelf. Not even going to compare them. :)

Supreme commander, due to the fact that the units are very diverse. Also, the nukes just freakin own. I love that satisfying explosion wiping out the enemys base and commander. Nuclear subs for the win. It just seems to run a bit smoother on my machine. Now i got the update.

Supp Commander here. C&C seem far to simple compared to it - just a gather resource, build units type of afair. Will wait for reviews of C&C3, but Supp Commander is fantastic. I uninstalled the C&C3 demo after completing the mission. The cheesy cut scenes are fun but they don't make a game.

from what i have played on the demos... c n c 3 seems to be a bit more polished and runs better on my system.

supcommander struggles a bit with 2gb memory and an X1800XT...

Two completely and utterly different games to suit two completely different styles of play... chalk and cheese!

complete and utter truth, have to get both to get everything

think what they say is that cnc3 is the real time tactics game whilst supcom is the strategy game :)

but after playing cnc3 the scope of the game makes me feel there's something missing but i still enjoy playing the demo even if i wish there were some drastic changes to gameplay so far

and supcom is game to take up a four hour stretch of your time to just sit in a chair devising devious plans involving a whole range of... stuff

after having these games on my shelf there isn't really much missing from the rts genre that i need

Wierd how we wait almost 2-3 years and then 2 of the best RTS games appear same time.....

SC ive just brought and love it... got a touchy feeling CnC for the win though.... but will need to play that game online with few m8s to see really....

I often prefer more polished games... but simplicity for the win also... but aint tried CnC3 demo yet!
