Question of voltage and temps

Hi all, I have recently upgraded to a 5930k and a rampage 5 mb. I have just started with a low overclock and found a good voltage. My question is though, if the voltage isn't adaptive and is the same even when not running at 4.1, why do the temps increase under load if voltage doesn't.. Might be a real silly question but just want to know.

Its just cause its not drawing any power, even if it was at 4.1 and a fixed high voltage, it still wouldnt get warm until you added some load to make it draw some power.
