Question on Intel i5 2500k.

Ok so i recently checked my Windows Experience Index and it was showing this.

Now this is odd as about 2 days ago it said it was 7.7 how come its decreased?
Both of these times its been clocked at 4GHz any ideas?
windows experience isn't a very good test of your cpu. cinebench r15 should be much more consistent. make sure you have nothing running in the background though.

It might be that the WEI has been updated to better reflect more current hardware. I remember my old GTX 560 Ti scoring 7.9, which later dropped to a more reasonable number when newer iterations came out.

Its utter tosh. The only practical use is to help sell PC's to people who don't know much about PC's. Just ignore it. :)
