Ive been waiting for philips to release their new 43" gaming monitors and looks it got released in australia

436M6VBRAB

and a hdr1000 version to be released in the future ...

my question is the pdf file for the monitor says adaptive sync technology (whats this mean?) free sync or g sync?

and well Ive never used either. Is it worth using said video card to take advantage of it?
I currently own a 970 and have been looking to upgrade; prefer nividia atm (less buggy drivers and the nividia hvec tech is nice).

oh and if OCkers is reading this. When are you guys getting this monitor in here? and the price point?
thanks

That will mean support for AMD FreeSync. Useful if you are gaming a lot, want to avoid the added lag of using normal vsync and find you have varying refresh rates, especially in the lower end of the range

thanks so if I want to take advantage of the adaptive sync with the philips I need a amd card.
