Hi,

Quick question first; I was wondering if my PSU was still up to standards to powering my machine as I have added a few more hdd and fans. Currently my setup is as follows:

E8400 3.0ghz Wolfdale @3.6ghz
4GB Ram
4850@690/1127
Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L
Hiper580W

I Have all the Antec 300 standard case fans running on medium, as well as 2x 120mm fans at the front of the case. (Although 1 is d/c due to adding a new hdd). I have 3xHdd in there atm, all on SATA2 (1Tb/320gb/500gb).

The next question I had was cleaning. My case is actually filled with dust, the components are covered in it. I was contemplating taking it all apart and trying to spray compressed air? But worried this will start to loosen bits off of the motherboard/gfx card etc. I was just wondering how others usually clean their cases, and make all the parts look like new again?

Just cleaned mine. Take out the parts and clean then with a clean paintbrush, worked a treat on mine. Give it a blast with the old compressed air before (to get rid of the big stuff) and after (to get any you missed with the brush).

Oh and PSU should be fine unless your planning to add a second gfx card :)

I use compressed air. I wouldn't worry about things being blown off - it is usually not that powerful.

Perhaps perform regular cleaning (once a month or so) to prevent it from building up so much in future.

Should it be obvious where to get compressed air from? First I've heard of using it to clean PC parts and sounds like it might be handy.

Ye i went to PCWorld and saw 2 cans for 17.99... Seemed a bit pricey for me so i'm looking around the net.
