Hi folks, I have a decent 17" CRT at the mo but im thinking of switching to a 19" TFT but I don't really know that much about them.
The thing is on my current rig I like to run games in 1024x768x32 high detail and I can't seem to find a TFT with a "native" resolution of this. They all seem to have a really high native res and I doubt very much i would be able to run my games in that res with my current setup (at least not a a decent framerate/detail level)
My question is, what do TFT's perform like at non native res? with my CRT I can basically have any res i like (within reason of course) and it will look good at that res for games. Whereas with TFT I have heard that they crisper at their optimised res but are not as good at most other resolutions. Can someone tell me if this is true and bring me up to speed?
Will say, Oblivion or any other game look as good on a TFT at 1024x768 as it does on my CRT at that res.
Thanks guys
FYI my spec is
athlon 64 4000 san diago
XFX geforce 7800 GS (AGP)
2 gig (corsair xms3200)
ASROCK DUAL SATA II
