Question : Phase cooling noise

how noisy is phase cooling by comparison to water and high end by quiet air cooling?

was looking at maybe trying to lay hands on an old vapochill or the like to mess with.....

I imagine its just a little quieter than a fridge if the fan is quiet, otherwise i expect the fan is the noisiest part.

the compressor would run all the time i guess?

like all things im sure the more CFM , the more cooling ill be able to get.

I'm not sure if it would run all the time.
More cfm = better performance = more noise.

Depends on the model

Vapochill LS is noisy due to the the gas used.
Mach 2 GT can run quiet. Think quieter than the reference cooling on a 7800GT.

Just sold my mach 2 gt on here,very quiet and much better than watercooling,starting to miss it now

I've had both and the mach2 is a LOT quieter than the Vapo.. the vapo got on my nerves, the compressor was very loud.

The only real problem I had noise wise with the mach 2 was the popping noise from the coolant because I didn't keep it loaded

Not for me though, water done properly is a LOT quieter than both.
