So i'm looking at buying a new AMD x2 3800 system (AM2 version), some DDR2 memory, a SATA2 drive, a IDE drive, a Asrock 939 Dual board with the AM2CPU card. I am also running a AGP Rad 9800xt.

by question is simple - I have been looking through the Antec cases listed on the site, and i've seen a range of the cases coming with 350-400w psus - e.g. this case which I really like the look of :

Antec NSK4400 Mini Tower Case - 380W SmartPower PSU (CA-052-AN)

Now, is this PSU an proper Antec PSU? I will NOT be overclocking at all. I know a lot of cheap cases on other mainstream sellers come with crappy 400watt psu's - but in this case, I would like to think the PSU is made by Antec too? and a lot better than them?

Thanks for your comments!

Michael

All the antec cases that include a PSU have Antec made ones. I've not had a problem with the one in my Sonata and general opinion seems to be that they are pretty good quality. That suuply should be ok for your rig but not very future proof if you want to upgrade and overclock down the line.

Thanks for the replies guys - I think i'll take one of the 350/380watt Antec cases then as I can't really justify spending £70-80-90 on a case and PSU at the moment!

Are there any other good bundles you can recommend to me for under the £50 mark? Thanks

They use Seasonic PSUs.

Good combinations if the PC will never be upgraded again, the sort of case you use when you build your mates PCs.

If you are buying for yourself, go with an Antec personally.
