Hey i currently have a 8600 and im thinking of upgrading to a GTS250 but im worried bout it working on my mobo, think my mobo has a v1.0 PCI E slot and the GTS 250 requires v2.0.

Ive heard that its backwards compatible an all but ive also read few people have problems so I was wondering if it would work with my motherboard.

Thats the motherboard i have and would really appreciate it if someone could tell me if it would work.

btw what power supply would i need for this card? would 400v be enough?

Thank you very much for your help

PCI-E 2.0 cards work fine in PCI-E 1.0 slots :)

As for your motherboard, I can't say for certain there Won't be an issue, but there should Not be.

The PSU i have atm is crap, think its 250w or something but im thinking of buying this

although i dont know if 400w will be enough, even if it is not i think ill still stick with a Corsair

Thanks for the replies guys, ill check out the HD5750

btw I was thinking of buying the 1024mb version so u still think i should stick with HD5750?

i checked it and it requires a PCI-Express 2.1 slot, are Ati backwards compatible as well?
