So where?
Hi all,

Quick question to set my mind at ease.

I have an i5 [email protected] running around the high 30's in current weather.
Currently my CPU is air cooled with and Noctua D14 in an Ft02.

I'm looking to strip down my system for a clean and (finally) watercooling.

If I have the components sat on a non conductive base (a box) would it be advisable to underclock the Oc to around 4.0ghz whilst components are in the open?

Or is this not necessary?

High 30s under load or idle?

You could just rig up a couple of of fans to blow over the motherboard to aid cooling :)

High 30's idle max out 45-50 under load. I don't really tax it with heavy duty stuff tb h.

I suppose I could , even a huge household fan would do job on temporary basis.
