This may be a silly question but i purchased an expensive shirt online that i would like to return as i have found it cheaper on another site, I have only tried it on, all tags are all intact, my problem is that it was folded neatly in the package in some special origami type way and being a typical man i have no idea how to fold it back to the same standard or if it had to be folded in a ceartain way, again may sound stupid but as long as its in perfect condition and its in the package should i be ok? I have ocd when it comes to overthinking things like this.

This is their returns policy

Please see below for details of our returns policy - and please remember not to remove any labels/barcodes or tags attached to the items or dispose of packaging until you are sure you are keeping the garment.

Any item(s) can be returned for an exchange, if it qualifies under the following terms:

  1. The item(s) must be unworn and in unsoiled condition, complete with all attached labels/tags/barcodes, the original packaging and the invoice enclosed from the original order.
  2. All items will be checked on receipt by our QC department. Additional exceptions to the Returns Policy are: Face Masks, Underwear, Earrings, Foam & Spray Cleaners & items sent back with a defined, strong odour such as strong cooking smells, cigarette smoke etc.
  3. Please note that we advise that ALL returned goods should be sent using the Royal Mail Tracked Returns link on the exchange/returns page. If not, please ensure to use recorded delivery and add the relevant insurance to cover yourselves against non-delivery by your chosen courier.

It reads to me as though it's fine so long as it's in the same condition as how you received it, I mean they can't quibble about you looking at the thing surely?

I'd take photos before sending it back myself though but that's me.

Fairly sure if you've tried it on its fine. Long as you haven't worn it for hours or something.

I believe you are allowed to inspect the goods in the same you you couldnif it was in a shop. In the case of clothes that means being allowed to try them on. As long as the tags are intact and you can send back the original packaging I think you will be OK.

It's fine as long as tags are intact and it doesn't smell like you've worn it for a night out.
There's no way they could refuse to refund just for trying it on like you'd be able to in a shop.
