Question regarding running two graphics card

Hi all, Regular posters probley already know me from my questions regarding upgrading my pc, till that happens i've been dabbling with my current setup and am curious about what i'm trying.

My main graphics card is a Geforce 560ti, I've also put in a Geforce 8800GTX.

Both these cards are connected to seperate monitors.

The question is, will doing this allow for multiple games to be played on each screen a lot better than depending on the single graphics card. Or a more realistic example is playing games on the 560Ti monitor and having applications open on the 8800GTX monitor, will it help reduce the 560Ti's strain?

It's was just down to curiosity to be honest. The 560Ti has two DVI and 1 mini-HDMI, Since i had a 8800GTX doing nothing but gathering dust i thought i'd wack it in and connect it to a monitor.

Didnt really know though if it would take any rendering stress off the 560Ti as its running through the 8800GTX. Quite oftern i would play World of Warcraft on one screen and Minecraft on another when waiting for dungeons etc. But i suspect Minecrafts more cpu/ram intensive than graphics but again i could be wrong.

One thing i didnt like with the space on the 560Ti was using all 3 ports, Connecting a mini-hdmi with 2 DVI's connected is one hell of a squeeze.
