Question regarding the Odyssey G9

Is there a way to "make" a 2560 x 1440 screen/area in the middle of the G9 and have the rest of the screen black? (if that makes sense)

Yes, you can do that will all UW monitors which kinda deflates any argument against UW on the grounds of aspect.
