Hi guys,

I am using the 360 pc pad for my racing games. (TDU etc) with the standard MS drivers. But the sticks are very sensitive, For example, the map, the cursor 'wanders' due to the stick.

Would changing over to the XBCD Drivers be worth while? I know i can use the deadzone settings which would obviously cure it. But is it worth the hassle?

Would it mean i would have to set up my controls again?

Do i need to download anything else other than the drivers themselves? An xgi file or something? If so which one?

On the website it says 'Plug in Xbox 360 Controller and install with Microsoft Drivers' I thought i read before you need to uninstall the ms ones first.

Sorry for the blatent noob questions. :o

Calibrate the sticks using the game controllers section in control panel? That's what I did initially before even trying the pad in games, and it works fine.

Well i installed the XBCD drivers in the end, the right stick left/right axis was up and down on the left stick and everything else didn't work.....

Tried playing the game and nothing worked, no keyboard, pad or mouse.... Dunno why, but cant be bothered with it, its not that big of a problem.

If anyone can shed any light on this then i'd be appreciative. :)

I use my wireless 360 pad with the crossfire MS dongle thingy, and I done exactly what hohum said above before I attempted anything. You always have to calibrate the controllers first cos they are never accurate to begin with.. now my pad works on my PC EXACTLY like it does on the 360, its fantastic!

... oh and I use the standard MS drivers, dunno what people moan about with those, work fine for me!

they moan because there is no dead center calibration which tbh is a joke.

Well it works for me without any probs, so I certainly am not moaning!

yeah you've already said that. wait until you find a sensitive game that cant set dead centers itself. when you are all over the place with the 360 pad, you're not going to complain....right?

Nope, cos I have a logitech chillstream and a logitech rumblepad 2 aswell, Id whack that out!

I use the XBCD drivers with the XBOX360 wired controller in TDU. The XBCD drivers let you change the buttons around whereas the MS drivers don't.

What you need to to is remove any drivers for the controller, then unplug the controller and install the XBCD drivers. Then once that is done, plug the controller back in and XP should pick up the controller and do the drivers thing.

I've got a pic of the setup prog for XBCD and how to assign the buttons so TDU will work OK. The right trigger is used for acceleration, the left braking. The left stick for steering and the right stick for menu navigation. I'll find somewhere to upload it.

**Edit** I can resize it if mods want me to.

exactly. so it wouldnt be working perfectly then, would it?

If I had to use them then no, but I never said mine dont work... Or did I miss that? Mine works perfectly at the moment, but yes, if I had to use my other pads then obviously it wouldn;t be working properly? But I never said mine dont work yet, so it does work perfectly!

the only reason your pad 'works perfectly' is because you obviously havent tried it on any game (and htere are quite a few) that cant set its own dead centers. therefor, you really shouldnt be saying things like "... oh and I use the standard MS drivers, dunno what people moan about with those, work fine for me!" because you obviously have no idea!

Easy, I never intended to offend anyone when I said that, all I said was it works fine for me, and from my point of view I dont know why people are moaning. But maybe I shouldn't of said that cos there are obviously probs!

I apologise if I offended you or anyone else in anyway, wasn't my intention. Sorry dude!
