Question regarding USB headset.

I have decided that i am going to buy a USB headset.

I would like to know what the sound quality are like from them and how do they work? do they have a sound card built into them? do the Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset have an x-fi built into it or something?

Sound is rubbish
No soundcard built in, read up on A to D and D to A convertors.
No bass or Treble controls
Sound does not go throu any soundcard and then to headset.
Nothing on a soundcard can be used through USB
