Question Related To Memory.

Hi,

While my system was in for diagnosis at a local pc shop, the memory was unfortunately stolen.

Does the memory contain information that can be accessed by someone else, e.g. banking data?

If its the RAM that was stolen then no the memory gets dumped when you turn the power off

if it was the hard drive then some data could be accessable

It was the ram sticks that were taken. Sounds like I'm okay, then. I protect my SSDs rather overzealously, thankfully.

I hope they replace it for you, make sure to get an upgrade too awhile you are at it.

It worked out okay as the cost of the ram negated the cost of labour / diagnosis at the shop.
