Hi,

I've got a question... I want a 100Hz (or higher) monitor. Now I can't seem to find a 24/26" model that has 100Hz. I thought about the following, setting up a 32" LCD TV 1920x1080i@100Hz and use that as my main monitor for browsing/gaming/all other sorts of stuff. Now, are there any disadvantages about doing that instead of a normal 26" TFT monitor?

If so, does anyone know a good 24 - 28" monitor with 1920x1200 or 1920x1080 @ 100Hz

Obviously input lag is going to be the main concern when going for a TV instead of a computer display. Currently there are very few 24"+ monitors with wide viewing angles and minimal input lag, let alone with higher refresh rates. We're going to have to wait until later this year for 100Hz+ displays to start becoming more common and until they're combined with S-IPS or AMOLED you're going to have sacrifice viewing angles to get there.

I'd advise you check out the available TVs and try to find some online responses from people that have used them for gaming.

TVs aren't real 100Hz displays.
They take 50Hz input and just interpolate intermediate frames which isn't either good for input lag.

Also 1080 low screen has ~20% less usefull space (vertical direction) than WUXGA monitor.
