Question, these car roof bag things.

Hi

Thinking of getting one of these roof bags that fit on to car roof.

Do they have a solid bottom base.
Just curious as we have a panoramic roof on our vehicle.

Just don't want a dedicated roof box as will only use it once a year and then there is the issue of storing it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I would suggest either hiring or finding a mate that has a roof box and borrowing it. My brother has one we borrow a few times a year. They are bulky and expensive otherwise.

They don't have a solid base no. So fold up nicely. I have had one years, used it 3 times but have been great every time. Mine came with a mat to put underneath to protect the roof.

Already people doing this.... Though you need a lot of space to store the boxes and a lot of bar/rail options.
