[Question Thread] Looking for a £250 monitor upgrade

Hi,
I am currently using a Samsung SyncMaster P24. It is a 1920x1080p display and runs at 60 hz. I am looking for a monitor upgrade that will improve visual clarity/smoothness for under £250. The Samsung's viewing angles are poor, and I am also curious about moving to 120/144hz. Any ideas, guys?

The Dell 2515 is a good display, its 2560*1440 and IPS so viewing angles are good. It only 60 Hz but it’s a good option for around £250.

I'm on my third 2515 now due to the left side of the screen having a noticeable yellow tint. The monitor is fantastic apart from that and seeing as three have the same issue it's looking like a design issue rather than fault.

Cant go wrong with the lg 24gm77,excellent price/performance.
And once you experience 120hz+, its hard to go back to 60hz even if its 1440p.

120hz would be a very nice improvement, all depends on what kind of games you'll be playing. You'll still get a smooth experience in every game but 120hz really shines in fast paced games.

As for the U2515H, got no yellow tint here and I love the monitor. Gone to and from 120hz more than a few times. The image quality of IPS and 1440 surpasses the need for 120hz for my personal use.
