i build to sell, have for years and do well enough that it is my full time occupation.
The pros and cons of doing so I won’t go into as we all know there’s many on both sides.
What I am interested to know is the following.
If you build to sell using refurbished hardware like I do, what generation of hardware are you currently using?
I do (or did should I say) a lot of 4th gen i5 intel builds for 1080p mixed with 1060s and rx570/580s. Recently (past 6 months or so) I’ve found availability scarce (it’s older tech so not too surprised) but the pricing has gone silly.
So much so that I now build using 6th generation as the ddr4 situation has finally sorted itself out. I’m finding an i5 6400/6500 on a h110 or b150/z170 board is working out similar or less than the equivalent 4th gen.
So my question is, are you finding the same and what do you use for your 1080p builds?
Cheers
Mick
