How much is a Pint (Fosters or carlseberg) and a shot in your SU.

Im getting all sentimental and comparing it to yesteryear.

Tuesdays £1 all drinks
Wednesdays £1.50
Thursday £1.50
Fridays god knows as i only ever drink double vodkas at £2.50

A pint is £2.50 for the cheapest stuff. Guinness etc is £3.10

A shot is like £2.

Moderately expensive!

I'm a postgrad at the University of London and the ULU union isn't very cheap. Fosters is like £2.40 I believe. The cheapest drink option here by far is the crappy VK-type alcopops, which I think you can get for £1.80 a pop.

Doesn't each college that makes up ULU have its own union though?

Yeah, they are separately managed, but I'm just referring generally. I think the prices are about the same across the board, despite different management. UCL, KCL and RHUL are all pretty expensive places to drink at, considering they're student bars.

It was 50p a pint for a while at Strathclyde until, as far as I'm aware, some spoilsports campaigned against the low price and got it changed.

As nice as a proper pint is, I always felt the need to ask for a bottled drink to avoid the nasty warm flat stuff that came out of the tap at the SU.

Guinness is about £2.60 here in Cardiff.

Lagers are around £2.10 - £2.30.

It was campaigned against, that got ignored and then the new licensing act came into force and stopped it.

when I was at Bradford it was £1 for Heinken/Flowers IPA/Beamish/Strongbow, 50p a shot

admittedly that was a few years ago

I don't know about the SU as I never go there (I don't know anyone that does), but the college bar a pint is £1.80 or £2.00 for a Guinness/other pricier beer, but not sure about the price of shots.
