i have vista 64 retail version and am planning on getting win8 pro upgrade for £25 at the end of the month and getting the £15 DVD from MS (easier for re-installs etc...)
- vista 64bit
- E8600 dual core
- 300GB WD caviar black HDD
- 8GB DD2 Ram
- Asus Maximus Formula II
- GTX 670 Gigabite Windforce
process for upgrade seems simple enough
however i plan on upgrading my current PC with new mobo, SSD, quad core and DDr3 probably around Xmas or early next year
will I need to reintsall Vista on new SSD/mobo and then redo the upgrade to 8, or will i be able to do a fresh Win8 pro install directly and just enter my Vista 64 key?
also is this free or will i have to re-pay for this upgrade on new system?
lastly, is the £15 DVD from MS just an upgrade or is it the full OS? -> ie if i do a re-install in future would i need to install Vista then upgrade or just install win 8 from DVD direct?
