Hi all,

I received my copy of Windows 7 Pro yesterday and plan to install it this weekend.

Currently I am running Vista 32bit and I have 2 HDD's in my machine (HDD1 & HDD2)

HDD1 is split into 2 partitions (System & Games). HDD2 is just a single partition which i use to store pictures, videos and music.

My question is if I format HDD1 and install windows 7 (64 bit) on it will the new install recognise all my data on HDD2?

Yeah it should work out fine. Installed it last night on a machine with the same config. I unplugged the second disk to make sure i didnt format the wrong one, then booted up the windows setup, blanked the disk, created a partition for windows and installed. After finishing the install I created the second partition on HDD1 then turned off the PC and plugged in the second disk. When it booted up the other disk was fine. If you can't access any files, just take ownership of the hard disk so you have full admin rights to it :)
