Does any anybody knows if 954p-g chipset-based motherboard can support a core 2 proccesor.Mine can support a pentium d with a fsb up to 1066 Mhz.What about a core 2?

I assume you meant 945? I don't believe all 945 chipsets support Core 2. It requires new VRM (voltage regulators) as the Core chips use lower voltages. There is a special 945 which supports it I believe. Generally, of the intel range, only the 965 and 975 support Core 2.
