This mite sound like a stupid question but I had windows 7 on my pc for a long time and got the free upgrade to windows 10.
I'll be getting a new SSD soon but I don't have a clue where my windows disk is how will I put windows on to new hard drive without the disk do I have to buy a new windows again???

You don't need to install windows 7 anymore....

Just download the media creation tool for windows 10 and use the media created from it to install windows 10 and skip the enter your product key section since your hardware configuration has already been logged on microsofts servers, so once you get the system back online it'll automatically activate.
