Questions about a new build using some old hardware

Hi Guys,

It's been quite a number of years since I built computer systems, so, I'm long over due for an upgraded rig.

What I'm wondering is if my old PSU a Hiper 580w type r would comfortably power this new setup.

I would also be adding my old X-fi Fatality sound card. Would this still be good.

Could I also ask will this be able to play the latest Gen of games or could I spend my £600 more wisely.

I would consider upgrading your PSU at the same time - Welcome to The 'Hiper-Explosive' Club.

It may very well not go bang - but that particular PSU has had a lot of bad feedback (not just on these forums) and you may be stretching your luck by putting it in to a new rig.
