Questions about AMD Catalyst Profiles

Hey

I keep reading about this and as i'm looking to buy a card soon it concerns me so I have some questions

Do you have to run a game specific profile before you launch a game or is it automatic?

Do you have to install or configure a profile in anyway or is it part of the driver package?

Does a game not run properly without a specific profile?

Nope.

You just download either the CCC entire package (includes ccc and the display driver)

or

As I do just the Displaydriver.

After that, if you run crossfire, you download and install the catalyst application profiles.

Nothing needs to be done after that except for playing games!

I have a single 5870 and I also download the application profiles, whether I have to or not, it doenst impact me negativley.

Thanks, is it just for Crossfire only then or applies to single GPU too?

Where do you get the profiles only from and how often are they updated?
