Questions about CM Quickfire Rapid keyboard

Hey guys, about time I upgraded my keyboard from the Emprex 5105G and I was initially looking to spend £50 max, so I guess the Sidewinder X4 would have fitted the bill. However, I've seen the Cooler Master Quickfire Rapid for around £70 and I'm seriously tempted by this. The biggest draw for me is the keypadless design as I don't have much space on my desk and I've never needed it really. I pretty much just switch on my PC and play MMORPGs while I have a Mac Mini as my main PC so I won't be using it for typing much. I love the design as well from the YouTube videos I've seen.

Which brings me to some questions:

1) Does OcUK only sell it with the Black switches?
2) From what I've read, am I better off with the Brown or preferably the Red keys as I will be using it purely for gaming and MMORPGs involve a lot of spamming?
3) If I get the one with the Black switches, can it be switched later for Brown or Red ones, or is it only the keycaps I can change?
4) Are there any other mechanical keyboards of the same form factor that I might not be aware off around the same price range?

Many thanks for reading.

Yup

I have the CM Quickfire Rapid with Red switches and they are perfect for gaming and a lot of people recommend red switches.

You can't change the switches (from what I know), however the keys can be changed, if you want to.

I'd look at the CM Storm TK available in Red & Brown switches, It's mechanical and backlit for around £70. (Overclockers doesn't sell them)

Seems it can be done
BUT why go through all that hassle lol. Im looking at red swiches myself i think there the best for just gaming on.

Still undecided on what keyboard im getting its a real headache finding one :'( I know the CM ones are good tho my friend owns the cm storm trigger (with the black switch, its very close to the red i belive) and he absolutly loves it to bits! Probs the one im going to end up getting aswell tbh.

Fun vid about this keyboard.
Very well made!!

As much as I want one without a keypad, I think I might have to go for the full sized one if I want red switches! Otherwise, I'll be waiting a while lol.

Or I could just go for the Black switches one, although I might regret it later on.

I just realised we use mechanical keyboards at work too because our systems are so old. When I checked the switchs underneath the keys, they were black. No wonder I thought they were tricky typing on when I first joined the company lol.
