Questions about going to Sky

Thinking of moving from Xilo 21CN to Sky for the 6 months free and the fact I don't really need amazing broadband right now. I know the BT based side is bad but I can get the LLU package (which is good right?).

Is this a decent move? The one thing really putting me off is, who actually owns and maintains the phone line if I do switch to Sky? It seems that you MUST take Sky's phone package to get the broadband. Say my phone line snaps, will BT's Openreach fix it or not since I don't rent the line from them?

Or even any Sky LLU resellers to look at?

You'll never contact Openreach directly as you're never an Openreach customer. While they may own and maintain the line you will contact Sky as they provide the line and use openreach to maintain it. Any faults will be advised to Sky who will then ask openreach to resolve.

Sky LLU is a great service. Actual unlimited broadband with no throttling, traffic management or anything like that and is good value at £7.50 per month. To get the first 6 months free is pretty good!

There are no Sky resellers.

if you go with Sky and then end your contract you will have them phoning and sending mail for ages afterwards, mine finally stopped after a year
