Questions about monitor resolution

I am doing a complete rebuild of computers for our house move and am thinking of sticking with 1920*1080 for the following reason but please correct me if wrong.

My assumption is that the new 4k monitors have a single native resolution like current flat screens thus the following.

What happens to games that have a max resolution of 1920*1080p?

What is the best anti glare monitor, the new gaming room will have a lot higher light level.

How badly will dvd look when scaling up to full screen (5000+ dvd films which do not look to bad on the 47" LED TV or my 1920*1080 27" monitor)

I miss CRT monitors yes they were a pain in the ass to move but my old one would run every resolution as nice looking as every other.

All but the oldest games will support 4k and if they don't the monitor will perform upscaling for you.

I'd go for 4k as atleast then you can do some proper post processing in software rather than just using a large low res monitor which you are kinda stuck with what ever it gives you.
