Hi guys,
I recently bought the Hazro HZ27WB/C and really like it. Everything works so far (touch wood
) and I really love the screen resolution.
I have several question though:
1. The monitor has no OSD menu to tinker with the colors. I have been doing this through my NVidia control panel. Since it's an IPS display I expected more from the colors out of the box. I visited TFT Central and downloaded the corresponding (and a dozen more) ICC profiles. The corresponding to my model ICC profile was awful- colors got too green/blue. I tried the rest and only one I found to be tolerable (Apple's ICC btw). Is there a universal ICC profile for any monitor which gets the colors right or is it always a personal choice. I cannot afford to buy a hardware calibration tool and am trying to get the job done with the ICC profile. I have two other monitors (DELL- IPS and TN) and the IPS one has much better colors out of the box than the Hazro.
2. Why is there a power adapter for it? Why not just a straight cable to go into the wall socket like the normal monitors?
3. Is it true that reducing the brightness to minimum (with the button on the monitor) halves the power consumption of the monitor?
