Questions about New Upgrade

Temps are fine, tbh perfectly even core temps on an intel quad are extremely rare. Im on my 5th intel quad and like the rest, theres a bit of variation between the cores. My current 3570k reads at idle as.

Probably a dodgy sensor on the last core.

So mine are a bit high ?

I notice that you also use Cosair memory, what ar etheir speeds?

Also I was trying to get Cosair Dominator Platinum 2133, but they are not available, I only get the PC3-10700 (667MHz), is it slower than the 2133?

It's slower but this doesn't have as much effect on overall performance as you might think.

The Corsair Dominator Platinum 2133 is 2133MHz and yours is running at 1,333MHz (667x2).

Which RAM did you buy exactly?

Is it 1333MHz RAM or is it faster RAM not running at its full speeed?

Theyre fine for idle, what sort of temps are you getting under load, more important to keep an eye on those. The corsair kit im using is a 1600mhz vengeance kit, currently running at 1372mhz, thats due to my cpu overclock, have to get round to upping the ram speed a touch.

It is the Cosair Dominator Platinum 1866

I have to go to BIOS to set the RAM speed to 1866.

Strange that after the upgrade, the game I ran on Q6600 is not running much faster than I expect. It is a flight simulator called Strike Fighter Project 1, it is faster by mrerly 12 frames.

To set the ram to it's proper speed, go into bios and in the advanced menu, ai overclock menu, enable the xmp profile.

Regarding the game, your gpu will probably be the biggest contributing factor as to how well the game runs, what settings, resolution you game at etc.

Hdd score looks a bit on the low side for an ssd, running a 120gb vertex 2e here, iirc it scores in the mid 7's. Did you ensure that storage configuration was set to AHCI in bios before installing windows?
