Questions about playstation 3 store

Hi,

I keep reading people mentioning access top multiple stores (US one, JAP one, HK one and now EU/UK one).

How does this work? on the console are you given options to connect to different stores? OR does it just log you into the store your Playstation ID is registered in?

Also, i recall reading that the downloadable content can be shared between 5 different machines. Can this be done without sharing passwords? If it can I am going to be buying some stuff so I thought we could like "buddy up" into groups of 5 and share the content.

Obviously only PS3 owners will probably be able to answer these questions.

It's like XBL, when you sign up a new account it asks you where you are. If you want a US account select US and give them an address.

Are the prices any cheaper from USA compared to UK then? I would have thought they'd do a sneaky background hardware check to see what SKU you're registering...

they verify your C/card address so whilst you can view whats available on foreign stores and download free content, you cant actually purchse anything. There was a loophole which enabled a few of us to buy some goodies but they soon closed it!!!

I thought if you had a MasterCard you could still buy stuff?

I dont have a mastercard, so I wouldn't know. Guess I will just have to wait until friday to purchase some content

you need a mate to login with your account details and then they will see all the stuff you have bought and can download it.

I see. Don't really like the idea of sharing your ID, over the internet. Will see how it goes. (Will depend how expensive the stuff is

If you purchase a PSP game you can just get your mates/family to plugs theirs into your PS3 and download gain to their PSP's
