Hi if any of you have been following some of my recent threads you will know I am close to doing my new build which I will be water cooling for the first time using an AIO.

I have decided to go with one of the Corsair Hydro coolers but firstly unsure which would be best? I will be getting an i7-4770k and the Corsair 540 Tower so space for any should not be a problem and I will be overclocking. Just to be akward if the Corsair logo lights up then even better as I read somewhere one of them does :) so please advise/suggest the best in terms of performance and what I said above.

My biggest concern however is leaking. Am I been paranoid in thinking they could/would easily leak? What would happen if it leaked? As this is going to be an expensive build for me which includes the VII Hero and R9 280X Toxic 3GB I am feeling nervous about damage :o

Thanks again for your help :)

AIO's are quite safe to use. The H100i is the cooler of choice. That has a light up logo. :).

Your case can't also take the H110 and H105. The H110 isn't great and as its 140mm fans, a little tough to get good replacements.

The H105 has a thicker rad, so its better but may not fit due to motherboard heatsinks, though in a 540 it should work.

I dont think the H105 light up, but it does have a colour ring.

Thanks for the fast helpful answer :)

I have been looking at the Tech Labs Fathom as I remember someone suggesting it the other day, do you or anyone else for that matter have any experience with these? The red looks amazing but not sure how I would set it up or what coolant/radiator to pick if I chose that over the H100i.

Thanks, I would be lost without the forums help :)

I believe that corsair come with a warranty that covers other components if it does leak.
The Fathom I believe can have the loop expanded.
I had the same concerns which is why I went for a big air cooler in the end.

Yeah I have been debating going with air but I really like the looks of water cooling it and I hate dust on the CPU heatsinks.

I noticed on the fan for the Fathom it says Corsair so I wonder if that makes a difference with warranty etc? Never mind also noticed it is cooler master.

Edit: would the red Fathom water cooler light up or glow red in the case?

Are you going to be using Windows 8.1 ? There is an issue with Windows 8 and the H100i that makes the LED's turn Pink. It was mentioned by Stulid somewhere on the board. There is a workaround, but i thought i would mention it.

Here we go:

It doesn't affect Windows 7 though as far as i am aware.

That is interesting to say the least :D

I would be still using Windows 7 but have been considering 8.1 but as this build I am doing is already close to £1500 I might just stick with my Windows 7 for now, especially if the light changes pink :p
